The All-in-One Clean Station empties the bin into a sealed bag automatically after every run, and higher-tier models charge two batteries simultaneously so you always have a fresh one ready to go - genuinely useful if you vacuum a large house in one sitting. Up to 100 minutes runtime on the flagship model beats both Dyson options. The trade-off is the clean station itself takes up real floor space, and the proprietary dust bags are an ongoing cost Dyson does not have.

Battery and runtime

Samsung's flagship Bespoke Jet AI models claim up to 100 minutes of runtime, genuinely ahead of the Gen5detect's 70 minutes and well ahead of the V15's 60. Some of that gap closes once you factor in that both brands' real-world runtime drops sharply on max power - nobody vacuums an entire house on the highest suction setting for 100 minutes straight. Where Samsung has a genuine practical edge is the dual-battery charging on higher-end models: you are never caught with a dead vacuum and a multi-hour recharge wait, because a second battery is always topped up in the dock.

Weight and ergonomics

Dyson vacuums are noticeably lighter in the hand - both the V15 and Gen5detect sit around 2.1 to 2.2kg, which matters when you are holding the wand up to clean ceilings, curtains, or car interiors. Samsung's Bespoke Jet models are competitive but generally a touch heavier, and the weight balance differs - some reviewers find Samsung's handle position a bit more front-heavy during overhead use. Filtration and allergies

Both brands offer genuinely strong sealed filtration on their higher-tier models. This is the biggest practical difference between the two brands. Dyson's cordless vacuums have essentially no recurring cost beyond an occasional filter rinse and, eventually, a replacement battery some years down the line. Samsung's clean-station models require replacement dust bags for the auto-empty function, which is a small but real ongoing cost that adds up over a few years of ownership - factor this into the higher upfront price of the clean-station bundles.

Debunking the myth: AI cleaning mode does not mean it thinks for itself

Samsung markets its AI Cleaning Mode heavily, and it is a genuinely useful feature - sensors detect floor type and adjust suction automatically so you are not fumbling with a dial. But it is worth being clear-eyed: this is smart automation, not a robot vacuum's spatial mapping or object avoidance. You are still pushing the vacuum around the room yourself; the AI is optimising power delivery, not doing the cleaning for you.

Verdict: who should buy which

Worth knowing: the clean-station bundles from Samsung look expensive next to a bare Dyson, but factor in that Dyson's higher-tier bundles with extra tools and a wall dock close a lot of that price gap - compare like-for-like bundles, not just the cheapest SKU from each brand.
