Samsung Micro RGB TV NZ: Price, Specs & Release Window
Samsung's Micro RGB range stopped being a rumour the moment it landed on shelves at Samsung NZ's own site โ but the pricing is eye-watering enough that most Kiwi shoppers still have plenty of questions about what it actually buys you.
What's confirmed
Confirmed
Samsung's 2026 Micro RGB TV range is live on Samsung New Zealand's website now, spanning the R95H and R85H series from 55 inches up to a 115-inch flagship. NZ pricing runs from NZ$4,699.95 for the 55-inch R85H up to NZ$42,999.95 for the 115-inch MR95H.
Confirmed
Micro RGB is a genuinely new backlight tier: individually controlled red, green and blue micro LEDs sit behind the panel instead of the blue LEDs plus quantum-dot conversion film used in regular Mini LED sets, which Samsung says improves colour accuracy and brightness.
What's reported (analyst / supply-chain sourced)
Reported โ FutureFive NZ
FutureFive's coverage of the local launch notes Samsung is pushing AI processing features across its entire 2026 TV range, including Micro RGB, positioning the tier as the top of a lineup that also spans OLED, Neo QLED and The Frame Pro.
Reported โ Forbes
Forbes' breakdown of Samsung's full 2026 TV pricing structure suggests the Micro RGB tier is deliberately positioned well above Neo QLED to create clear separation for buyers who want the newest tech regardless of cost, rather than to compete directly on value.
Reported โ ecoustics.com
ecoustics.com's pricing rundown of the global Micro RGB launch frames it as Samsung "pushing premium TV tech into the spotlight" rather than expecting mainstream volume sales in year one, which matches how thin the size range still is compared with Samsung's mainstream Neo QLED lineup.
Twisti's opinion
Opinion
At nearly $43,000 for the 115-inch flagship, Micro RGB is not a TV most NZ households are shopping for in year one โ it's a halo product designed to trickle the tech down to Neo QLED sets over the next couple of years. If you're after genuinely better colour today without the price tag, Samsung's existing QD-OLED S99H or a good Neo QLED will get you most of the way there for a fraction of the cost.
What we'll update
We'll update this page if Samsung NZ adds more affordable Micro RGB screen sizes, or if retailers start discounting the range once first-year stock clears.
